(CM5 Software Installation & Update Guide)
This guide provides official step-by-step instructions for safely updating the CM5 Software on DEEPSOUND B3 equipment to optimize system operation and performance. Since DEEPSOUND B3 operates on a Linux-based operating system, please follow the procedure carefully.
1. Pre-installation Requirements
Before starting the update process, make sure you have prepared all the following required items:
- DEEPSOUND B3 Equipment (Active Internet Connection Required)
- 1x USB Flash Drive (FAT32 or NTFS format recommended)
- 1x USB Hub (For port expansion)
- USB Keyboard & Mouse
- Latest CM5 Installation Package (
.zipcompressed archive)

2. Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Step 1: Program Download and USB Copy
- Access the Download section on the DSPAUT Official Website using a PC.
- Download the latest CM5 program package (
.zip). - Extract the downloaded zip file and copy the executable file and associated asset folders to the root directory of the USB flash drive.
- Connect the USB hub to the USB port on the right side of the B3 device, and insert the prepared USB flash drive into the hub.
Step 2: Access Linux Desktop & Environment Setup
- Connect the keyboard and mouse to the USB hub attached to the B3 equipment.
- Access the Linux OS Desktop by following the click procedure on the system UI:
- Click the Settings icon located in the system tray or top area of the screen using the mouse.
- In the settings & control menu, locate and select Device, then click the Minimize button or collapse tab on the top right.
- The settings list window will minimize to the bottom bar, exposing the active Linux desktop environment.
- The DEEPSOUND B3 system is designed to allow desktop access via external keyboard/mouse for user convenience. This enables operators to back up or transfer internal files (Data, Images, Setup files) to a USB drive freely.
⚠️ IMPORTANT
The equipment must maintain an active internet connection throughout the software update process.
Step 3: Terminate Currently Running Application
- Once the Linux desktop is visible, check the currently running main software application window on screen.
- Click the “X” close icon at the top right corner of the application window to completely terminate the running software.
Step 4: Launch System Management Dashboard
- Click the Web Browser icon on the desktop or taskbar to open a browser window.
- In the browser address bar, enter the assigned IP address and port number (
8810) of the B3 equipment to open the System Management Dashboard.- Connection Example:
http://192.168.0.92:8810 - Note: Each device has a unique IP address. Please verify your device’s network IP before entering.

Step 5: Select and Upload Update File
- Click the Update menu link located at the top-right header of the System Dashboard webpage.
- On the Dashboard Update page, click the Choose File button in the center of the screen.
- In the file explorer pop-up, navigate to the connected USB Drive on the left panel, and select the latest CM5 update package file previously saved.
Step 6: Execute Update & Monitor Process
- Once the file is selected, visually confirm that the selected file name appears correctly next to the Choose File button.
- Click the Start update button below to initiate the installation procedure.
- While the update is running, the status bar will display
Runningas the internal system files are updated. - When installation completes successfully, the status indicator will update to
Running ➔ Success, signaling the end of the update process.
Step 7: System Reboot & Final Version Cross-Verification
- After confirming the
Successcompletion status, power off the DEEPSOUND B3 unit completely and turn it back on to perform a clean hardware reboot. - Upon power-up, the updated CM5 software automatically starts running in the background.
- When the application user interface appears on screen, check the version number area at the bottom-left corner of the UI.
- Confirm that the version number has been updated to the latest software release, finalizing the installation procedure.
